Estate planning and administration

Brooke Didier focuses her practice on the areas of estate planning and estate administration. She assists a variety of clients with a broad spectrum of estate planning matters.   Her practice includes preparation of an array of wills and trusts for a range of clients including those with children and other dependent family members. She also counsels clients on matters of wealth preservation and estate and gift tax issues. Brooke advises clients on the use of powers of attorney, charitable giving, business succession and elder law issues.  She is available to assist with life insurance and asset protection planning as well as gifts to minors.  She serves clients in all facets of life: parents planning for minor children, family members planning for college education, professionals protecting their assets, farmers preserving their family’s land and benefactors framing their legacies.

Brooke thoroughly enjoys meeting new clients and sitting down to work with them to create a set of estate planning documents that reflects their goals and values. Likewise, she has accumulated extensive experience administering estates following the death of a loved one and takes pride in offering careful and conscientious legal advice in what can otherwise be a very difficult time for family members.

She earned her B.A. from Monmouth College and her law degree. from the University of Illinois.  Brooke began her career with Meyer Capel as a law clerk following her first year of law school and by her third year was concentrating specifically on estates.  She is a member of the American, Illinois and Champaign County Bar Associations and the Eastern Illinois Estate Planning Council.  She speaks to civic groups on various estate planning and administration issues and has served on the faculty for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Education. She makes her home in Champaign County with her husband, Josh, and their children.
