Lorna Geiler brings Meyer Capel the benefits of a distinguished academic career. A 1986 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law and a 1983 cum laude graduate of Illinois State University, she joined the firm in 1988.

Ms. Geiler is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the American, Illinois State and Champaign County Bar Associations. She is also involved in the employment and labor law section of the Illinois State Bar Association and was listed in Who's Who Among Rising Young Americans in 1992.

Lorna has represented employers before the Illinois Human Rights Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and various municipal human relations departments. In addition, she has practiced before the Trial, Appellate, and Supreme Courts for the State of Illinois and the Trial and Appellate Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois and the Southern District of Indiana. She has represented employers in union negotiations as well as in union organization campaigns.

In 2009 Lorna K. Geiler was selected by her peers as a leading lawyer in Leading Lawyers Network Magazine | Women's Edition for Employment Law: Management. The article, featuring the women of Meyer Capel, can be viewed here. Lorna was also elected as a leading lawyer in 2010. In 2011 the Supreme Court of Illinois welcomed Lorna to the Committee on Jury Instructions in Civil Cases.

Lorna and her family make their home in Tuscola, Illinois.
