With his dual expertise in finance and law, Scott Perkins is uniquely qualified to assist those clients of Meyer Capel who are looking to purchase or sell businesses and/or real estate. A licensed real estate broker and member of both the Illinois and Champaign County Bar Associations, Scott concentrates his legal practice primarily on commercial and residential real estate transactions, new business formation, business purchases/sales and tax-deferred exchanges.

Scott is an honors graduate from the University of Illinois at both the baccalaureate and doctoral levels. In 2001, he earned a bachelor of science in finance with highest honors and was selected for the Bronze Tablet. In 2004, he graduated magna cum laude from the University's College of Law and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in both Land Use Planning and Estate Planning. He joined Meyer Capel as a part-time law clerk in 2002 and became a full-time associate upon receiving his Juris Doctorate.

A native of Rossville, Illinois, Scott enjoys travel and Fighting Illini sports. He and his wife, Lisa reside in Mahomet.
