Lauren McQueen is an associate attorney in the firm’s litigation group. She focuses a majority of her practice on Landlord/Tenant disputes, property line and drainage disputes, and conflicts arising out of construction contracts and projects. Lauren is a Champaign native and uses her expertise to assist the community she calls home.
Lauren was hired by the Champaign County State’s Attorney’s Office, in 2019, where she practiced for two and half years primarily as the lead Traffic Prosecutor. After joining private practice in 2021, Lauren’s practice expanded into the areas of Criminal Defense and Civil Litigation, where she has practiced at the State and Federal levels.

Lauren is a Champaign, Illinois native, having graduated from Central High School in 2008. Lauren is a 2018 graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Law, having previously received her Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2011. While attending the University of Illinois, Lauren was an active member of the Marching Illini and Illinois Basketball Band and continues to be an active alumni member. While attending law school, Lauren participated in the Domestic Violence clinic for three semester and gained valuable knowledge about the law and the effects it can have on people.
Lauren is licensed to practice law in Illinois and the Central District of Illinois Federal Court.
Community and Civic Engagement
Lauren is currently serving as President of the Champaign County Bar Association, and is an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, American Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association.
In her leisure time, Lauren spends most of her time with her three dogs. She loves traveling and attending concerts.
