Samantha M. Walley

"The hallmark of a successful attorney is one who is attentive not only to the facts of each case but to the needs, wants, and goals of each client as well."

Samantha is an attorney with the firm’s litigation division, concentrating her practice in family law. She represents clients in a variety of matters, including divorces (dissolution of marriage), parentage, custody, allocation of parental responsibility, allocation of parenting time, child support, and orders of protection.

After graduating from law school, she moved back to Illinois and spent a year serving the indigent family law clients of Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation in East St. Louis. While working in East St. Louis, Samantha developed a passion for public service and transferred her litigation skills to work as a criminal prosecutor for the McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office. There, she prosecuted cases from minor traffic tickets to high-level felonies, as well as assisting in order of protection hearings involving victims of domestic offenses.

Prior to joining Meyer Capel, Samantha practiced administrative and municipal law for the County of McLean as well as the City of LeRoy. She enjoys her time spent in the courtroom advocating vigorously for her clients – whether corporate or individual - and seeks to obtain the best possible outcome in each case.
