John Pratt Joins Meyer Capel!

Meyer Capel welcomes its newest attorney, John Pratt! John joined Meyer Capel on January 1st after his sister and business partner, Cathy, retired from their family-owned practice Pratt & Pratt at the close of 2022. John is a pillar of the Bloomington-Normal community and makes an impressive addition to the firm’s expanding legal team.

In addition to John’s practice, he is an active member of the community having served as a former President of Bloomington Sunrise Rotary, Bloomington Country Club, and the McLean County Arts Center. Mr. Pratt was a founding member of the Downtown Bloomington Cultural District Board of Directors, and is currently serving on the board of directors for the McLean County Bar Association, the Central Illinois Masters Swimming, and the Lake Run Club of Bloomington-Normal. He volunteers regularly for the Miller Park Zoological Society, and for Easterseals.

Mr. Pratt focuses his practice on Estate & Trust, Real Estate, Business Planning & Transactions, and Mergers & Acquisitions. His office will remain in its current location at 217 E. Washington St., Bloomington until further notice.
